Deb, I've thought of the temporary Raider tattoo but I've never seen them anywhere. I suppose I could order them off the Interwebs, but that would take some effort and I am lazy.
Hubby and I were out and about today. We had some lunch and we did some cell phone shopping. It was a beautifully sunny day so I was just in shirtsleeves, which was kind of surprising because Friday it was rainy and gray all day.
So anyway, I mainly wanted hubby to go with me to the cell phone store so we could look at and handle these three models of Blackberries they have so I could see which one he wants. We have to get new phones. He put a nearly brand new (he'd had it just two months) phone through a complete washing machine cycle a couple of years ago, so he had to get a new one. I was wanting a new one but had to put his new one on my contract so my phone is almost five years old and wearing down. His is broken again already (he broke it last year), naturally, because he drops it all the time. The flip part spring is broken so it won't stay open, which means when you flip it open to answer it, you have to be careful not to let it close again and hang up. (And yes, I know I could set it to not answer when it's opened, but that seems like a lot of trouble.)
So they have three models of BBs there and we tried them all out. I carry mine in my pocket, so I have to get one that fits easily there. They have a flip, but I don't want hubby to have a flip again because they break so easily. I kept putting them in my pockets and thinking about it which freaked hubby out because he thought someone would think I'm stealing it, but I pointed out that the store was so packed I really could steal it and no one would notice. Plus, since I wasn't walking out the door with it, there wasn't much chance I'd be accused of stealing it. And I did find one that fit pretty well in my pocket. Now come Monday, I just have to go to the store near where I work, do all the paperwork to get the new ones and then have them transfer my contacts over.
When we got home, I remarked on all the leaves covering our front yard and mentioned sadly how they were all over the walk, front steps and porch. Hubby said, "That's OK. It will keep the bums off the porch."
Bums? That made me laugh because I wasn't aware we had a bum problem in our neighborhood. I went ahead and swept all the leaves from the porch, walk and driveway. If I can't get them off the lawn just now, at least the walk is cleared. And we'll see tomorrow if the place is crawling with bums.
